Chef's Restaurant Introduction
Tamura, a renowned kaiseki restaurant in Tokyo's Tsukiji district, is one of Japan's leading kaiseki restaurants.
While the restaurant exudes the solemn atmosphere of a long-established establishment, it also offers casual table seating for lunch, with bento boxes available. Spacious tatami rooms and private rooms with sunken kotatsu tables are also available, making it a restaurant suitable for a variety of occasions.
"Food must harmonize the five tastes (sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and umami). Only then will diners perceive it as delicious." Inheriting founder Heiji Tamura's philosophy of "harmony of the five tastes," the restaurant values the "spirit of hospitality" of treating guests with respect, and is renowned for its service, always serving freshly prepared dishes. Their
meticulous cooking methods, which bring out the deep umami of the ingredients, allow diners to savor the delicate flavors of the ingredients and the rich savory dashi stock. Each dish is carefully selected, ensuring a visually stunning and enjoyable experience.

Recommended Menu
For those new to authentic Japanese cuisine, we highly recommend the lunch-only "Ohara Bento" (¥3,500, tax not included). This "Tsukiji Tamura mini jewel box" offers appetizers, sashimi, grilled dishes, simmered dishes, rice, and soup in a short, affordable lunchtime meal. Enjoy your
lunch in the "Ohara" (chair seating) area on the first floor.
While bento lunches eaten outdoors tend to be cold, these bento lunches, enjoyed indoors under a roof, are designed to let you enjoy the steam as a treat.
Course meals are available for both lunch and dinner. Prices range from ¥8,000 (tax not included) to ¥50,000 (tax not included) per person, depending on your preferences and budget. We are happy to discuss course meal options based on your preferences and budget.
