Preparing the Artichokes

Artichokes are not widely available in Japan, but they are commonly found in supermarkets in Italy. They are packed with a unique aroma and flavor, and are rich in dietary fiber and very good for your health, so if you can get your hands on them, be sure to cook them in a delicious way
How to make it

Cut off the tough stems of the artichokes, then tear off the surrounding calyx with your hands, like peeling the petals of a flower, until the dark green part is gone

If there are any tough sides from the stem to the base, scrape them off with a knife

Cut it in half lengthwise and remove the cilia inside with a spoon or bamboo skewer

Fill a bowl with water, add lemon juice, and let [3] soak for about 10 minutes

Then drain and use in your favorite dishes, such as baking or frying
