Brutti Mabuoni
Put the hazelnuts and almonds in a frying pan and lightly roast them. When the skins on the hazelnuts start to peel, remove them, peel them and roughly chop them with a knife
Put the egg whites in a bowl and gradually add the powdered sugar, beating well with a hand mixer until you get a stiff meringue
Add vanilla extract and ① to ② and mix lightly with a rubber spatula. Add to a frying pan and cook over low heat while stirring with a wooden spatula until the mixture changes color
Spoon the mixture onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in a 160°C oven for 35 to 45 minutes
Once cooked, remove from the oven, let cool, and sprinkle with powdered sugar
