Basic Menma
Heat 2 teaspoons of sesame oil in a frying pan and fry the red chili pepper. When the chili pepper becomes fragrant, add the boiled bamboo shoots and fry over high heat to evaporate the water
Once the sesame oil has been absorbed into the menma, add the seasonings in (A). Add enough water to cover the menma and simmer
Cover with aluminum foil and simmer over medium heat for 40 minutes to an hour to allow the flavors to soak in
