Takenoko's sandwich

Make Chinese-style tartar sauce (see separate recipe).

Cut the bamboo shoots into easy-to-eat sized pieces, add Chinese soup, salt and Shaoxing wine, and simmer in a pot. Add sugar and balm to taste.

Sprinkle tartar sauce on the bread and sandwich the bamboo shoots from [2].

Cut off the ears and cut them into pieces that are easy to eat.
