How to make it

Make cuts in the mackerel and wipe off the water

Put mirin, sake, soy sauce, sugar, and vinegar into a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat

Add the mackerel and green onions and cover with wet paper as a lid

Simmer over medium heat for about 7 minutes, occasionally adding the sauce

Turn off the heat, add the miso, dissolve it, and simmer for another minute until done
