Grilled cotton tofu with okara mabu

This dish is made by coating firm tofu with dried okara and then grilling it. It is a light dish, but the addition of butter adds richness

How to make it

Cut the tofu into 1.5cm thick slices and sprinkle with dried okara (see separate recipe)

Heat a frying pan with salad oil and fry the tofu (1)

Once both sides are browned, add the unsalted butter and remove from the heat

Place in a bowl and pour over the sauce made from Happomibijin and water to complete

  • Happo-mibijin (can be used as a substitute with soy sauce + mirin)
